I am proud to announce that we will be rolling out the pilot for our program this fall at Southeastern High School. We are delighted to begin impacting Detroit students. It is not too late to join our team, read below for more information on how to get involved.

Call for Nominations: DFA 2020 Executive Board
As you know, the Detroit Fintech Association is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to strengthen the financial technology ecosystem in Detroit and work on community challenges related to financial inclusion and financial literacy. In order to carry out that mission, the DFA is seeking nominees to fill Executive Board positions for President, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, Assistant Treasurer, and Assistant Secretary.
Interested in participating in DFA’s Executive Board? In order for your nomination to be considered effective you must fill out the form by October 1st, 2019. Please follow the link below.
The nomination process will close at 5:00pm ET on October 1st, 2019. DFA will provide your submitted answers to all DFA board members, vetting and decision making will begin in December, 2019

The Detroit Fintech Association is working to cultivate a comprehensive directory of Fintech companies, along with other types of organizations in Detroit and the surrounding area. Please, explore, the profiles, and feel free to add your organization to the list – or request editing access if it is already on there.
Following the lead of the events committee, I have been creating a schedule for all of the committees to meet regularly. This schedule will be finalized and distributed to all DFA members after our board meeting on September 12th.

Next DFA Event
The next DFA event will happen in late October or early November. We will finalize the date in the next couple of weeks and send out the invitation ASAP – so stay tuned! We are going to be hosting a couple University of Michigan fintech professors along with some members of the Detroit Mayor’s Office.
